Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Pick up from Arusha hotel and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This nationally-celebrated park lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and features a massive shallow soda lake covering two-thirds of the park. Wildlife includes large concentrations of elephants, the rare tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos. Afternoon game drive through dense woodland and along the lake shore.

Country Lodge Karatu (Full Board)

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive through the fertile Karatu highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Serengeti. Enter Africa's most famous park by midday for an extensive afternoon game drive across the central plains. The Serengeti is the largest national park in Tanzania and home to the world's greatest wildlife migration — wildebeest, zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and the predators that follow them.

Tented Camp Serengeti (Full Board)

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Full morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves, offering uninterrupted game viewing en route. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon for your first magnificent view of what awaits tomorrow — a vast, verdant caldera inhabited by 30,000 animals.

Crater Rim Lodge (Full Board)

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning game drive. Home to one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world, the crater contains wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, elephant, flamingo, and Tanzania's endangered black rhino. All Big Five are regularly spotted here. Picnic lunch beside the crater hippo pool, then ascend and drive back to Arusha.
